Wow, This looks like the introduction of California as Hoppy's sidekick to be. in the parlance of the movie folkm California's character is referred to as 'comic relief'. Well, Hoppy is no slouch at subtle humor in the 1st place. Showing California how to operate the 6-shooter is a hoot. ALSO, onc't in awhile California drops the comic accent and exhibits a Ohioan or Indianan accent. In this feature California is a LOT wiser and mature character than as portrayed in later flicks.
