This is a great film best watched late at night when you are tired but maybe receptive to something different. I love the surreal dream like nature of it all and the way it jumps from black and white to colour randomly, i also love the pompous comments that come from Arthur Lowe. It was made in 1967 but the backdrops of old Manchester make it seem like it could be from 20 or 30 years earlier.
