Hah! I loved this program. I loved watching it when I was a kid and I loved seeing it again now. But now it gives me chills to see Mr. Wizard - AND THE KID - working in close proximity to fairly dangerous things like fire with no safety glasses or anything! Mr. Wizard gives the kid a can full of explosive gasoline/air mixture to HOLD while he ignites it! (I wonder what his insurance rates would be today?) 'Course we played around with all sorts of stuff in our chemistry sets in the fifties and sixties that are verboten now. Most of us managed to survive unscathed. Everything is so watered…
