Synopsis
Two engineers, Jim and Harry, describe evolution from transistors to ICs, showing how masks are created, and describing fab process. They show 1500 circuits on a wafer, stuff a bread board, talk about the "modern 1966 version," and dual in-line processors. Shows the Solid State Electronics lab at Stanford. Shows Burroughs Corp using transistors, as well as Stromberg-Carlson and shows its S-C 1100 Inquiry Display System. Also shows ICs inside an H.H. Scott Model 388 Stereo Receiver.
