Synopsis

Shows Pam Bartlein, a Home Economics student, and Nick Pavloff, an Art student, both in their early 20s and attending San Jose State University, on a three month student exchange program run by sister cities Okayama, Japan, and San Jose, California. Nick visits the workshop of potters Yu and Kay Fujiwara. Pam studies cooking, flower arranging, clothing.
