Synopsis

This short, Disney produced film comes from a documentary series titled, "People and Places". It was active between the years 1953 and 1960, and was filmed in CinemaScope (except for this particular episode). The Alaskan Eskimo is the first episode in this series, and is most notable for winning an Oscar at the 1954 Academy Awards for "Documentary Short Subject".
