Synopsis
Behind the locked doors of a mental institution resides crooked politico Judge Drake, free from prosecution so long as he pretends to be crazy. To get the goods on Drake, private detective Ross Stewart has himself committed to the asylum as a patient. Meanwhile, reporter Kathy Lawrence, posing as Stewart's wife, acts as his liaison to the outside world.

I use to confuse Carlson and Marlowe with each other. Carlson is the more natural actor in his characters. Marlowe tries to act Oh Well, my 2 cents worth.

Some of these are less contrived and less hurried into a movie in a -half the time necessary to tell the story well- kind of way. I kept expecting the rake of the keys, or some other ''tell'' to show up later in the movie, and then ruin it for me, but it didn't happen. The foreshadowing (we'll call it) was done well and didn't end up a bunch of grated parmesano all over the ending, except for, not carrying the picture around, hiding it, studying it and destroying it, that I would have done -not a spoiler btw- you'll feel the same way, and, the movie has better twists in it than that anyhow...…
