Synopsis

Cute film about the named bird. This is another later Coronet production, and it's always amazing to see something else from them besides ridiculous social guidance films. The film is helpfully illustrated with cute title cards (though the mating one is a little dirty I think( while providing very nice colorful footage of the bird and it's mating rituals (but not of course, of the mating itself) and the birthing of the chicks. My, those little suckers grow FAST.

Basic explanatory film with good shots, but Coronet went on the cheap here (Or, is that "on the cheep"?). The film was shot silently so instead of hearing the noise the birds make, the narrator simply describes it. The title cards are good.
