This program is a bit like "Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts." Host Dennis James introduces entertainers, with the audience selecting winners by level of applause. In the first half of this episode, a female singer competes against a quartet whose act is part music and part comedy. After both acts perform, the winner returns in the second half to compete against the winner (a male singer) from the previous week.
