Destruction: Fun or Dumb?

Despite it¡¯s message, that destruction of private property is not all that cracked up as it¡¯s to be, the message gets totally overwhelmed by the sheer 70¡¯s of it all. This film has got it ALL I tell you. From the laughable them song this film has, to the very questionable hairdos of mostly everybody here, and to the slo mo chase scenes (!!) this film was a hoot to watch from start to finish. Oh right! Back to the theme! Vandalism is bad, according to the not-at-all convincing people who dare to open their mouths during this (I most especially liked the librarian), that being said…

This short starts innocently enough with a boy throwing a rock at a window, but then it turns into something completely diferent. In one scene in this film we see a boy blowing another boys brains out because he wanted to vandalize a fire hydrant, in another we see a kid browsing through a magazine ripping out pages, thier are scenes where stuff get's destroyed just for the sake of it (Two pictures are destroyed, a desk slammed against a wall, a window breaking) without any real motive or set up. It does have some sound problems though but still this is definatly recomended.

What a great film about the "cheap Thrills" derived from vandalism. For all you graffiti connisseurs you will love to see some early 1970's authentic Philladelphia (check the end credits) style graff. What I wanna know is who the hell use to write "HOMO" (watch the film, he's up everywhere)?

Film to teach high school kids to not vandalize school property, circa 1974. Unfortunately, this film lays it on rather thick, trying to be low budget "NBC Sunday Mystery Movie" knockoff. The film opens with a bunch of kids in tube socks and tiny shorts playing basketball on an urban playground. Eventually, all the kids leave except a blonde kid who throws a rock through the window. Naturally, the cops come by at exactly this moment to chase the kid down and arrest him. Underneath the chase is this really banal theme song about vandalism. From there, it goes down hill. This 70s anti-vandalism film is as strident as any 50s film, plus it has an incredibly dorky theme song and lots of bad acting to boot. They may leave it to the students to decide if destruction is fun or dumb, but as for the film itself, I pick the latter. Sometimes you just want to break something, you know?
