I think of all commercial characters, Mrs Olsen rates up there as being one of the most memorable if not somewhat frightening. I mean - it seems no matter where she was people started talking about coffee, and of course she always had some with her in her purse, shopping bag, kitchen cabinet, bathtub, glove compartment, dresser drawer, gym locker, ok, ok - I exaggerate - but to me the larger question is this: why didn't the women whose husbands complained like this just tell these guys to kiss their a**? Can you imagine a modern commercial where a husband would be allowed to get away with…
