Synopsis
Attributes Francisco Franco's rise to power in Spain to his charismatic personality and to the disturbed internal condition of his country. Sketches Franco's life, including his years as a general, an admirer of Hitler and now benevolent dictator. Uses dramatic readings to trace the history of the American Negro from emancipation to the end of World War II. Examines the impact of Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Dubois, and Marcus Garvey on present day Negro-white relations in the United States.

They got what they deserved. Factions, factions, and more factions. That's how it all started. Bad timing, too. Spain could have just as easily become a gigantic "Castro's Cuba." The dude was a megalomaniac. And that's what they got. They were a setup for it. OK film but not enough detail of the fractured populace which brought this all on.
