Synopsis
Two short films released together under a collective title. The first, "Secret Sharer", directed by John Brahm and starring James Mason, is based on a short story by Joseph Conrad. The second tale, "Bride Comes to Yellow Sky", directed by Bretaigne Windust and starring Robert Preston, is adapted from Stephen Crane's short story.

The first one is great, starring James Mason as a conflicted young sea captain, Michael Pate as a runaway (or swimaway) killer, and Gene Lockhart as that man's skipper from the other vessel. Although obviously shot onstage, The Secret-Sharer (based on Joseph Conrad's short story of the same name) builds up a nice amount of tension as Mason strives to hide the man he thinks had good reason to commit his crime.
