'GLENN MILLER TIME" was the 1961 summer replacement for "HENNESSY" [CBS, Monday nights, 10pm(et)], for the same co-sponsors (General Foods, Lorillard). It aired LIVE, and lasted 10 weeks. That having been said, it's a pretty good representation of how "The Original Glenn Miller Orchestra"- under the direction of Ray McKinley, who was a part of Glenn's Army Air Force Band during World War II, and led the "new" civilian band from 1956 through 1966- sounded during that period. This particular episode was originally telecast on September 5, 1961.
