Transmission of influenza study conducted by Harvard professor Rosenau at the direction of the US military in three separate locations. Mucus and saliva were gathered from those diagnosed as infected with influenza and they were applied to the eyes and throats of healthy volunteers. This resulted in no transmission of disease. Blood was drawn from the infected and administered via injection to the healthy volunteers which resulted in no transmission of disease.
