The plot of having some ex-con criminal master-minds go after Hitler may be unbelievable in some ways, but at the same time it is intriguing to see these characters using their experience and ingenuity in such an endeavor. The plot is interesting, and one can identify with the characters. Usually, the film is fast-moving, and all-in-all not badly done, carrying a profound message for us at the end. Somehow, also seems applicable to the international conflicts of today: it is not a matter of one leader against another, but a conflict of ideas and cultures.

The 256mpeg4 download is ok. The confusion might be that the story is told in flashback. It's a good low-budget wartime morale booster. Ward Bond is marvellous; hamming away with gusto; looking to be thoroughly enjoying himself. Worth watching, I think, for that performance alone. Some nice comedy along the way but towards the end it switches from comedy/fantasy into straight drama mode and (sledge-)hammers home a serious message.

I don't recall ever seeing a more cringe-inducing movie in my life. Any film requires the viewer to suspend a certain amount of disbelief, but this one's portayal of a bunch of hoodlums-cum-commandos slipping behind enemy lines to capture Hitler strains the capacity of the most dedicated movie lover. There are a couple of things in this film's favor. One is that the cast includes several actors who are just way too good to have been in this turkey, particularly Ward Bond and Warren Hymer. The other is the ironic scene toward the end in which the SS fails to recognize Hitler and shoots him.…
