Synopsis
An American realtor living in England is dissatisfied with what he believes to be his humdrum life. One weekend while his wife is out of town, he gives a ride to a woman he sees stranded on the road. One thing leads to another, and he soon finds himself enmeshed in a plot involving a diamond robbery, gangsters and murder.

Arthur Kennedy nailed a great performance in this American-British drama.,Constance Smith was very appealing in her role as the other woman. Despite her tumultuous and true personal life, she was able to stay grounded just long enough to deliver a believable on screen performance. Joy Shelton, Kennedy’s wife, played a sympathetic and very believable “woman done wrong.” I felt a great deal of empathy for her character. It was a bitter-sweet story for all involved. It displayed the heel in most of us, and the loving devotion in far too few of us.

Great job by veteran actor Kennedy. Found Miss Smith to be extremely alluring. Never heard of her before, and was saddened by her awful personal life...tragic. All in al, very much worth a viewing.
