Synopsis
Frank Raymond, grandson of the original Invisible Man, still has the old formula but considers it too dangerous to use, even when Axis agents try to get it. But Pearl Harbor brings him to volunteer his own services as an invisible agent in Germany. Though a bit cold (clothes aren't invisible), his adventures are more comedy than thriller (with occasional grim reminders) as he makes fools of Nazi officials and romances a luscious double agent, in search of Hitler's secret plan...

INVISIBLE AGENT is an enjoyable, patriotic entry in Universal's H.G. Wells-inspired queue, supplying excellent effects, as it combines somber, WWII intrigue with dashes of levity. (The dinner sequence, in particular, is quite funny.) Above all, the cast is top-notch, with Ilona (FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN) Massey often stealing the show, which is ironic since she claimed to have disliked the movie and did not recall much of its production. (Even so, she's nothing short of drop-dead gorgeous and rather multifaceted in her role of Maria.) This one has much to savor: an INVISIBLE chapter…

Thanks to H G Wells invisible man they made this. Has it's funny moments, the makeup looks good too. WW2 German plans are infiltrated by the invisible man's grandson.

Surprisingly, I'd never even heard of this movie before. It's not bad. A few chuckles, and some unintentional ones. The German officer using a Thompson SMG was one of the better ones. Worth watching at least 1X.
