Synopsis
It Always Rains on Sunday is a 1947 British film directed by Robert Hamer and starring Googie Withers, John McCallum and Jack Warner. It was written by Angus MacPhail, Hamer and Henry Cornelius, adapted from Arthur La Bern's 1945 novel of the same name. The film has been compared with the poetic realism movement in the French cinema of a few years earlier by the British writers Robert Murphy and Graham Fuller.
