Mid-20th century outer space movies were never appealing to me, until everything else in the culture turned to absolute garbage, with computer generated -- I don't even know what to call it -- violent, fast motion, hyper-reality, nightmarish visions that are like psychological abuse. I find movies like this one, "It - The Terror From Beyond Space", creative, light-hearted, wholesome, and a brilliant relaxation escape. The clunkier the special effects and film set, the more I like it; although this one is not overly goofy. I especially liked the waitresses in the light-colored space suits…

This old sci-fi classic is just straight up fun, and helped build the genre to the point we could have TV shows like The Outer Limits or movies like Alien. So reviewing it like it was meant to be art is to misjudge it for the popcorn flick that it is: a big goofy looking monster runs around inside a spaceship… that's it, so wonderfully it. I mean, think about it: the monster is from Mars, but the title claims it is from “beyond” space. We are not dealing with Citizen Kane here. So Just sit back and enjoy a wonderful time capsule of classic sci-fi. It may not be the classic gourmet cuisine…

That would be Ray "Crash" Corrigan check out his Wiki bio... A long long career, you've probably seen him hundreds of times. I remember seeing this movie before the film got scratched. I remember "Crash" from the Saturday morning westerns I grew up with, I think it was John Wayne who replaced him. I also believe this film was an inspiration for the "Alien." franchise.

I’ve loved this movie since I first saw it as a kid in the 1960s. I’ve seen it dozens of times. I never get tired of It (pun intended). I don’t like colorizing monochrome movies, but this wasn’t too annoying. And I’m a fan of Dabbs Greer. One of my favorite tv actors. Love him as Eric Royce in this flick.

Another excellent classic 1950's film. My colorized classics collection has improved greatly since I've found you within the Internet Archive. Word via the grapevine is that this film & later on Mario Bava's "Planet Of The Vampires" (1965) were the inspiration to Ridley Scott's "Alien" (1979). Thank you again Mr. Fergus and well done.

Excellent sci-fi movie from younger days. I was 9 years old. My father would drop me off with my buddies at the theater every Saturday in winter for the sci-fi double feature for 35 cents ticket. Then I had 65 cents for goodies to munch on. Kept a dime to call him when the movies were over, great memories.
