Vegetarians will cringe, but those who enjoy eating God's creatures will be enthralled by this whirlwind tour of the American livestock industry. After a brief examination of the agricultural geography of the United States and the maturation and sale of animals on various regions of farmland, some fairly visceral, yet very fascinating scenes are shown of recently slaughtered animals moving along the disassembly line. You would never be allowed into todays slaughter house. Cattle are pumped full of antibiotics so they can stay alive from the mountains of manure they stand in and the corn that's forced on them. Cows are not suppose to eat corn...Cows are grass eaters! The Industry in their greed for more profit and the populations want of cheap meat has destroyed our whole agricultural science. Another culprit is the fast food industry which accounts for a huge percentage of this disgrace. This documentary is how the industry should once again be run. And from corn to pork. Pretty good movie that generally summarizes the meat industry from field to market. Shows them making hot dogs which in the day were largely filled with pork and were dee-lish! I don't think you can even get those anywhere these days. One of numerous films on this topic - there are more detailed ones. The point here is simply that grass gets turned into beef.
