Synopsis
Steve Drexel voluntarily strands himself on a deserted island on a bet. He intends to re-create civilization and carves a miniature city of 52nd Street and Park Avenue out of the jungle. Drexel is befriended by his dog, a native monkey, and a wild goat that is captured in one of his traps. He attempts to cultivate a native as his Man Friday from Robinson Crusoe, but fails as the native escape.

Fun, very light comedy movie. Fairbanks suffers from overacting which was needed in silent movies. It took a few years for the silent movie actors to adjust to sound, or wither by the wayside. Sit back and enjoy this near-fantasy movie.

Here's a very animated guy that feels the need to explain every thing he does to his dog. The movie is way out there, to the point of sublime. It's just insane enough to be good.

This is a wonderful way to spend an hour or so; it's silly fun with a happy, if improbable ending. The contraptions and props made by our hero in a mere two months are preposterous and amusing. It's thoroughly enjoyable and well crafted, if not great art.

Can't recommend this video, didn't watch it all, I think it had immodesty. It was funny when he found the man "Friday" Might could be edited by a woman, so it's suitable for everybody.
