A strong cast aids a plot about the misery that besets an 'ordinary' man when his car, (vital for his work), is stolen. Richard Todd is perfectly fine in the lead and the supporting cast, including Carol White and John Le Mesurier, are excellent. Peter Sellers is magnetic as a crook; and, he shows that, whatever the much examined quagmires of his private life were, he was immensely talented. It's shot in glorious black and white. I highly recommend seeing it.
