They just don't make toy ads like this anymore! Nowadays it's just all about "You MUST have this!" and "You HAVE to have that!" And some of these toys out today!!!! I'm only 19, but there's still a huge difference between the toys I had and toys now. I can barely pay for new clothes or my classes, but kids can get a mini media player that plays mp3s and dvds? Hell no!

This comercial (aparently from when J.C Pennys was just called "Pennys") is a good look back on the history of toy comercials, the brands aren't mentioned which is something no TV ad would omit today, and the whole "white room" theame seems wonderfully outdated. The annoucer can be somewhat hard to understand at times, but he does a pretty good job at hyping the viewer up. Overall a good toy comercial from days gone by.

This commercial touts the availability of toys at Penny's in general, without spending too much time on any specific one. Aside from the toys with visible labels, the specific names of toys aren't given and each one is shown only very briefly, so if you're looking for toy nostalgia, this is somewhat hit or miss.

After seeing the scenes for this commercial. I was pretty pumped to see this ad, but it's just ok. I'm not too sure what the purpose for the narrator's escalating voice, but oh well. My favorite toy here would be the slot car racing set that can set off a flying top.
