Synopsis
Demonstrates basic methods for isolating one element from other elements. Experiments include: the reaction of sodium peroxide and water, catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, catalytic decomposition of potassium chlorate, decomposition of mercuric oxide, distillation of liquid air (an example of physical rather than chemical preparation), condensation from air, and electrolysis of water.
