This film is a fantastic one especially for its time in the 1950s. The only minor gripes I have in my opinion would be the background music gets a bit over used in some parts of the trilogy, a few minimally flawed pieces of some fight scenes along with the choice to over emphasize the young personality and immature feelings of the love stricken Otsu. This is really nothing considering its for three movies total. The entire trilogy is a phenomenal look back in time to Japan in the early 1600s.
