At this time, effective antipsychotic drugs were just being realized as actually effective - kept many of these people out of the psych hospital for years. Shows some features of mild schizophrenia, not of a psychotic nature. Very difficult to identify at these times. Almost "schizoid personalities" rather than outright schizos. But, she decompensates. More visual hallucinations than auditory are presented here. The second part deals with methods of diagnosing and characterising schizophrenia and understanding what causes it. We still don't know.
