Secret Agent x-9 - Torpedo Rendezvous (1945)

Set during WWII, largely on politically neutral Shadow Island in the far east, populated by spies and wanted criminals, this is a well-produced, high energy serial, and was fun to watch. Lloyd Bridges and Keye Luke head a cast that is surprisingly good for the most part, and that really made a difference during the back and forth of the middle chapters. I recognized a number of B-movie actors among the bad guys. The story centers on a discovery that a Japanese chemist made that requires a formula languishing in an American laboratory.
