Synopsis

According to the terms of her step-father's will, if Mary Bussard is able to stay with her brother's family and resist marriage for one year, she will become a very rich woman. Her brother, meanwhile, would also very much like to inherit the money, and concocts a scheme to trap her, but he isn't the only one with a plan up their sleeve.
