I don't even think I'd have enjoyed this more with a musical accompaniment. Some of the sets were incredible. There are those that will criticize the aesthetic of the "natives", but they're the same as you'd see in any Hollywood film of the era. The special effects were quite good for a film this early. There's also some "Pre-code" moments here for those seeking that material. All in all I really liked it and I hope some day someone really cleans up a print of this film.
