Synopsis
A little girl living on an isolated ranch claims to have formed a bond of friendship with a pure white, "wild" stallion. The horse is well known in the area, almost legendary, and supposedly vicious. Is she just making it up, or is she telling the truth? If it's real, isn't it dangerous for her with a "killer" horse? Or is the horse as vicious as he's been portrayed?

I was absolutely delighted to find this 1957 indie film from my childhood in the world's deepest rabbit hole. "Snowfire," about a wild white stallion, was frequently shown in Chicago on WGN's "Family Classics," hosted by the late, great Frazier Thomas. While boys were usually the protagonists in kids films and sitcoms in the 50s-60s-70s, I loved this movie because the main character was a girl, Molly McGown. She got to live on a ranch, ride horses and wear a cowboy hat. If you can interest your kids and grandkids in your mid-century entertainment, get them off their screens and watch this…
