San Francisco celebrates VE Day 1918 (1930)

I think this is really the most boring collection of movies by Archive.org Or maybe just San Francisco is boring. OK, this News Film Footage is interesting, you see really old cars, a celebration on the streets with a big crowd of people and you hear a classic narrator. It's a little bit fun and enough interesting. And it's NOT in color.

The masks are common in local "gatherings". It was too late to protest, and well a party is a party! And other oneliners to follow I am sure. But rhetoric and irony aside, this is a very interesting snippet of history. You could interpret the narrator as setting an anti war tone to the voice over. I don't see any hateful signs that he mentions though. Cool video.

I think it's interesting that the narrator at the end says "They are celebrating that the war is over. And there will never be another." This movie is about WWI.
