While the viewing quality is less than to be desired, the film itself was fascinating to watch. The differences to the plot compared to the original story and the later Todd Slaughter film were interesting choices, particularly about Todd killing his own brother and his own eventual death. While certain bits of the film are clearly lost, any viewer with enough familiarity with the plot can easy keep up. Very glad to have been able to view this. I only wish the 1926 version would magically turn up now...
