The long description of this material is a very poor translation and therefore useless in many parts. I haven't lived through the war, in Holland, but my parents have. I haven't heard them talk about it much, except that in 1944 my mother had to visit farmers on a bike without tires, to get food. She lived in Frisia, the Northern countryside, fortunately.
