It's valuable to watch different footage of WWI and WWII in different countries and to listen to those who took part in it. I think I understand the man who talks about the year after the war, when he'd returned to normal life, shutting down and stopped communication. I believe that extreme survival mode changes a person forever and watching the fuss that those around you make, about trivial aspects in life, easily triggers anger in that person. I remember being overwhelmed by grief, in the last days of my mother's life, watching people's behaviour about trivial things and feeling anger…
