This amateur film was obviously taken just right after the Japanese surrenders, and the jubilatious celebrations on the streets of everytown America (In this instance, it looks to me like San Fransisco). We first see a flurry of newspaper headlines, then some tickertape flying in the air. We then realize what has just happened. This amateurish footage has not only people hanging out of their cars celebrating (man, things don't change..) but also, has a negative side to it, as we see vandalism and looting! In 1941! We end it, of course, with a parade. A BIG one, with lots of marching soldiers…
