According to Google, IMDB and the Internet Archive (this place) Dudley Pictures Corporation is better known for making safety, travel and industrial films. Two exceptions are the single episode of Tobor and a theatrical release called East of Kilimanjaro. Most sources show 1957 as the release date of "East" and they put Tobor at 1954, squarely in the middle of the kids show space craze. Also a very remote possibility this was a quasi-military recruiting effort. The Korean War was unpopular and attracting people to military service was difficult. Wow. I can see why nobody wanted to pick up this pilot. A lot of stock footage is intercut with unconvincing cheap sets a kindergartener wouldn't buy. The dialogue is putrid and no one involved could act. The "scientific" talk is a bunch of gobbledygook. The main characters attempt to explain away all the implausibilities scientifically but it only makes it worse. The premise is that a little boy named Tommy, (with top-secret clearance, mind you) controls a robot with ESP. The robot is slow and makes mechanical noises. If I'm not mistaken, this was an unsold pilot based around the robot character/costume from the 1954 film 'Tobor the Great' (not a series, just a pilot that didn't go to series).
