This movie presents the viewer with some strong information about what can happen to children when they are ignored by their parents who are so involved in their own lives.Freddy and his sister Marion somehow manage to turn out very well and are extremely fortunate to be reunited at the end of the film under precarious circimstances. Their mother and father mean well but excel in failing to provide their children with love, direction, and suppport they despeartely need to feel secure and complete.The parents are selfish, but do change.
