I agree with the description, that it seems to be a random collection of scenes, probably a reel about Los Angeles perhaps? The bookends are of a movie production.. One of those deep south, "I say" Gone-With-The-Wind type movies, that provide a good tour of a movie being made. Maybe it is being made, it sure did look like it. But then it jumps around to the crosses (!!), the amphitheater (with a religious show!), lots of industry, and cake decorating! That was a real pro cake decorator btw.
