Barry Sullivan, Vittorio Gassman, Polly Bergen, William Conrad. I'm with noir.addict; this is a well done film with great performances; a realistic feel. The scenes are very well staged and directed, the actors believable and passionate. The story takes you through the Louisiana bayou, and you pull for everyone involved... loved it!

VERY GOOD MOVIE AND WELL ACTED!!! This movie escaped me and glad I decided to watch it. This has to be William Conrad's best movie and no doubt the biggest part making him the major star in the movie. Always a good actor but playing small parts as a supporting actor. Barry Sullivan was excellent in this and played a major part in the movie. Gassman as always a scene stealer.
