Synopsis
A newsreel shown days after the storm of January 14, 1916 flooded the land around the Zuiderzee, with images of the Anna Paulowna polder and Edam, where boats had to be dragged over dikes. The disaster, which killed sixteen people on Marken, hastened the decision to close off the Zuiderzee.
