Synopsis
Gary Gray arrives only to be caught up in the rustling activities of Ben Holt and his gang. First Holt brands him for rustling and then frames him for murder. Proven innocent, Gary foils the gang's stage holdup and then heads after Holt whom he now knows to be the real killer. But Holt knows he is coming and waits unseen in ambush. A good, although typical western - bad guy deceiving everyone, until...until Bob Steele happens to pass along the trail. Steele gives a good performance as a law-abiding cowboy sucked into a cattle rustling scheme, then blamed for the rustling and subsequently murder. For all his professed innocence, he gets branded with a hot iron by the rustler, put in jail by the sheriff, and turned in at gunpoint be the girl he loves. As usual Charles King and Jack Rockwell are convincing as villains. Margaret Marquis, who made 17 films between 1932-43, 7 uncredited, is the stick figure love interest who…
