Cartoon Comin' Thro' The Rye (1926)

There is not much animation here - the cartoon is more interesting and important as an example of the bouncing ball cartoons innovated by the Fleischers as a means of bringing people together at the movie house - everybody, together now.... The psychology is brilliant, the tunes are usually well-known, easy enough to sing and popular - but maybe someone didn't know all the words, or the second verse. 4 stars for overall intent and achievement.
