Synopsis
Ole Olsen and Chic Johnson are Broadway stars who return to Universal Studios to make another movie. The mere mention of Olsen and Johnson's names evacuates the studio and terrorizes the management and personnel. Undaunted, the comedians hire an assistant director and unknown talent, and set out to make their own movie.

Crazy House was a wonderfully zany film that showcased many very talented performers. I especially enjoyed the Delta Rhythm Boys, Marion Hutton & the Glenn Miller Singers (Modernairres?) Cass Daily , Martha O’Driscoll, Count Basie & his Orchestra among the many . This film provided the fun, laughter and especially the music that the country needed as a diversion at a time when the entire world was at war and the outcome was anything but sure. As much as I love Abbott & Costello , Olsen and Johnson always seemed to show the audience that they were only a small part of THE BIGGER PICTURE

An attempt to recreate the magic of Hellzapoppin', that falls flat because it is a poor sort of clone of the original. Olsen and Johnson were never particularly funny - and Hellzapoppin' was made what it was by all the supporting characters. Here they throw in a lot of quick cameos - everyone from Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to Shemp Howard to Johnny Mack Brown to Leo Carillo and more. The principals, aside from Olsen and Johnson, include Patric Knowles, Cass Daley and Martha O'Driscoll - all of whom give serviceable performances - nothing special. View…
