This movie takes place in World War II and it tells the story of a rebellious person who got drafted in the Army, who has trouble towing the line until he meets the daughter of a retired officer. The Andrews Sisters, along with Harry James and His Orchestra provide the music with "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree (With Anyone Else But Me)" being the most famous of the songs featured in the film while another song I like is "Six Jerks In a Jeep" which although it was heard in the movie, Decca didn't ever release it and it wasn't released until MCA put out a "Rarities" comp in 1983, and also…

An evening's entertainment in little over an hour, of the kind that entertained the G.I.s Here the bulk of the musical entertainment is trumpeter Harry James and His Orchestra, a fine group of that time. The best of the music is provided by the always entertaining and vivacious Andrews Sisters. Dick Foran could sing - decent voice, no style - sort of like most of his acting. The comedy is provided by the inimitable Shemp Howard - great scene with him and Mary Wickes at a nightclub. Thrown into the mix are the forgettable Joe E. This really doesnÃÂt try to amount to much but a World War II entertainment vehicle. The Andrews Sisters, Dick Foran, Huntz Hall, and Shemp from the Three Stooges (Yes!) all are here, the main story is about a singer wanting to get into combat service but canÃÂt because of flat feet, and thereÃÂs some other minor needer-natters going on too, but thereÃÂs nothing earth-shattering divulged here. No, youÃÂll be getting a dozen or so songs, most of them heavily patriotic, most of them hardly known today (I actually recognized Rinky-Dinky-Parlez-Vous only because IÃÂve heard it recently). This…
