I've seen the same plot in another C western - can't remember what its called or who was in it. A gang of protection racketeers leave the East for the easy pickings of offering protection to ranchers out West - pay up or your cattle may wind up dead or disappear. The FBI becomes aware of this scheme and sends Jack Perrin, he of little charisma, out West as an undercover agent. He meets a beautiful girl Ethel Beck (Jean Hess) - its love at first sight - at the train station out West and ingratiates himself to the point of being allowed to stay at her father's ranch - then on the ride home by…
