Synopsis
Clyde Beatty, an animal trainer and circus star, leads a search for his missing girlfriend and her father who were on an expedition looking for a lost tropical island. Using a dirigible as his mode of transportation, Beatty and his band head off in search of the missing explorers only to crash their airship on the same island their friends are located. Battling wild animals and a gang of greedy men searching for gold, Beatty and his party must rescue his girlfriend and father all the while…

His mother thought so. Mr. Beatty had a circus for many years. In fact, it was a major competion Barnium And Bailey for many years in the 30's-60's. Four for the film(cliff hanging serial is better).

Clyde Beatty was one of the greatest animal trainers EVER! Going into a cage of wild animals, Beatty was only armed with a chair, whip and a revolver loaded with BLANKS! He was badly mauled by a lion and spent 10 weeks in the hospital recovering from his injuries. He went on to face his lion"Nero" in the movie "The Big Cage", after recovering from the injuries Nero gave him in the mauling. "The Lost Jungle" is an entertaining but predictable movie typical of its era. One novel part of the movie, is the expedition travels to Africa aboard an airship. I enjoyed this movie, and it should appeal…
