This movie cracks me up! The arguements about how safe and wonderful radiation are is totally ridiculous! There's a part near the end where they talk about how radiation affects your offspring and they go so far as to say that you're better off with a kid enhanced by radiation! There's no way people could've been this naive even in 1950.

This film tries to dispell fear of nuclear radiation by such tactics as portraying the human body as a factory run by pixies, telling you you can always get a toupee if your hair falls out, and informing you that you'll be dead before getting a high enough dose of radiation to make you sterile. Most of the film is true, except half way through, it becomes propaganda. You might think what they're saying is laughable, that you know how dangerous radiation is, but its affects are entirely exaggerated. Radiation is harmless until you reach levels of man made proportion, such as the pure metallic form of plutonium or polonium. Although the stuff about the atomic bombs radiation being negligible is total BS, your basically screwed if your too close to one of those explosions, especially due to radiation.
