The Murder in the Museum (1934)

What a hoot! Comically bad acting, really bad carnie acts and a loony plot make this one a so-bad-it's-good treasure. Set in a fleabag sideshow, it is a murder mystery of sorts, but you'll be laughing too hard to care. The hero and heroine peeking through an apparently magical hole they've just drilled in the floor is a scream. Thrill to the slowest shootout in history! Will the helpless heroine be dragged off to Mexico against her will? Gasp in amazement at the utterly impossible solution! Who-done-it fans, be sure to pack your senses of humor for this trip. Definitely recommended.

That very well describes the experience. How so ever I enjoyed it. It really is so dumb slow paced and has no real plot the acting is odoriferous taking all that into consideration. I would watch it again but not real soon

The plot and acting are typical of B-movies of this era and genre. In that respect, there's nothing "hilarious" about it. The eye makeup shows that the over-the-top melodramatic acting style of the silent era carried over. The hole in the loft floor was pretty unbelievable, giving both people an unrestricted view of the entire room below at the same time - even while the man kept his hat on. The "mummy man's" presence in the loft remains a mystery. I must admit that the movie put me to sleep at one point.
