The 1938 Gene Autry film "The Old Barn Dance" film was shown this morning on FMC (Family Movie Classics) on cable TV. There was a great segment of the Stafford Sisters singing then exchanging dialog that sounded like rapping! I'd never heard of them before, but subsequently read that the youngest sister Jo Stafford was a big star in the 1940's and early 1950's I replayed that portion several times it was so good. I thought I would be able to find it on line, but the closest I found is the film clip here on Internet Archive. Unfortunately that segment, which was prior to Gene Autry's singing…
